Stay at Home Rules Don’t Slow iFTI Learning and Business Down via Webinars

Each year, the IUPAT Directors of Training from across North America meet with the International Finishing Trades Institute staff and director to discuss curriculum, best practices and how we can continue to build upon one of the best training programs in the United States and Canada.

Typically, everyone meets personally. However, the Covid-19 crisis has stopped travel. Instead of postponing this years meeting, the iFTI created a webinar to cover material and developments, and generate discussion among the directors and iFTI as scheduled.

Finishing First LMCI Industry Liaison Mike Heinz kicked the IUPAT Helping Hand presentation off on Tuesday, April 28 to over 50 online participants of the annual IUPAT Directors of Training Meeting with the International Finishing Trades Institute. Finishing First is a partner in the IUPAT Helping Hand initiative.

This week, over 50 directors of training and iFTI representatives are meeting online to discuss the needed training to protect workers on the job during and after the Covid-19 crisis, the implementation of the IUPAT Helping Hand curriculum and resources in district councils, and Recruitment and Retention/Mentoring program developments, among other subjects.

The iFTI is also teaching and training various courses online as well. Check the Training Calendar for an update on what is being made available to our trainers HERE.
