iFTI Receives DOL Grant for Covid-19 Education

The International Finishing Trades Institute was awarded a $73,000 Susan Harwood federal safety and health training grant to develop new training and educational materials on COVID-19 for employers and workers in the finishing trades industry.

Training material topics include COVID-19 awareness, developing a
pandemic plan, and a train-the-trainer program. iFTI will pilot the new materials by providing 21 to 32 hours of training for 30 workers and employers.
The training materials will be available in English, Spanish, and French.

The Susan Harwood Training Grants Program funds grants to nonprofit organizations, including community and faith-based groups, employer associations, labor unions, joint labor-management associations, colleges and universities.
