Partnership and Local Area Grant Programs
These grant programs foster improved labor and management relationships on the local level by providing financial aid to labor-management groups and labor organizations. The funds are specifically for offsetting the expenses of regular meetings and launching initiatives that will improve the industry for signatory contractors and union members.
Safety Training Awards Recognition (STAR)
STAR is an incentive-based rewards program that improves safety awareness on the job site by rewarding safe work habits through participation in continuing safety training and education. Workers must complete the required courses and maintain a minimum number of safe work hours during the qualifying work period to be eligible for recognition and rewards.
OSHA’s On-Site Consultation Program
This free program offers confidential occupational safety and health services to small and medium U.S. businesses, with priority given to high-hazard workforces. Employers can find out about potential hazards at their workplace, learn how to improve programs that are already in place, and even qualify for a one-year exemption from routine OSHA inspections. Since the program’s sole purpose is assistance, not enforcement, the on-site consultant visits never result in penalties or citations. Click HERE for more information.
