The Price of Safety Issues for Employers

As Safety Week 2016 wraps up, the hope is that the construction industry on both the employer and worker sides have an increased awareness of the costs of poor safety standards on the jobsite.

Recently, Richard Cavallaro, CEO and president of Skanska USA, as well as chair of the New York Building Congress, spoke with ConstructionDive.com about how safety is among the issues that have "bludgeoned" construction. In fact, he named safety as the number one obstacle currently facing the industry. "Safety is paramount, and we need to do a better job in our industry," he said.
