New Report: Shipyards Bolster U.S. Economy

The U.S. Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration (MARAD) released a new report showing that shows just how important work in the nation's shipyards is to the economy.  

2000px-US-MaritimeAdministration-Seal.svgAccording to PAINTSQUARE.com, "MARAD's report, The Economic Importance of the U.S. Shipbuilding and Repairing Industry, notes that shipyards provide 110,000 jobs across the country and contributed $37.3 billion to the Gross Domestic Product in 2013."
