LMCI Officially Launches New Estimating Essentials Class at the 2017 Finishing Industries Forum

In December, the Painters and Allied Trades LMCI presented an overview of its newest training program – Estimating Essentials.  A class designed for the “apprentice” estimator, or an up and coming IUPAT journey worker or foreman, this two-day course includes classroom and hands-on practice of estimating from the review of documents through quantity takeoff.

The apprentices work with mentors on course projects covering not only the trades they are most familiar with, but also in other crafts to expand their areas of expertise.  All of the coursework is designed to illustrate the basic, comprehensive series of steps that produce winning bids for IUPAT industry partners.
